A special improvement district, not a company.
Moapa Valley TV Maintenance District (MVTVD) is a Nevada special improvement district established to provide over-the-air television translator service to residents of Overton, Logandale, and the surrounding Moapa Valley in Clark County. We rebroadcast major network signals from Las Vegas so that a standard home antenna can receive them — something the Valley’s terrain makes difficult to do directly.
We are not a subscription provider. There is no bill beyond the property taxes that already fund the District.
Paid for through local property taxes.
The District operates as a tax-funded public service, overseen by Clark County. There is no separate subscription fee for residents within the service area — funding comes through the same property tax structure that supports other local improvement districts.
This funding pays for translator equipment, tower-site maintenance, utilities, and repairs after storm damage or equipment failure.
Keeping the Valley connected for decades.
Like similar rural translator districts across the Southwest, MVTVD exists because the terrain around the Moapa Valley blocks a direct broadcast signal from Las Vegas. Rather than leave residents without local TV, the community established this district to build and maintain the translator infrastructure itself — a solution that continues today.
