Frequently Asked Questions
Service & Cost
Is there a fee for this service, or is it covered by my taxes?
The District is funded through Clark County property taxes. There is no separate monthly bill for receiving the translator signal.
What area does the District cover?
Overton, Logandale, and the surrounding unincorporated Moapa Valley in Clark County, Nevada. See the Channel Lineup & Service Area page for details.
Will this still work if I get a new TV?
Yes. Any TV with a built-in ATSC tuner and a standard antenna can receive the translator signal. You’ll need to rescan channels on the new TV — see our rescan instructions.
Signal & Troubleshooting
Why did my channels disappear?
Most often this is a storm, a temporary issue at the translator site, or a TV that needs to rescan. Start with our troubleshooting steps.
How do I rescan my TV?
Open your TV’s settings menu, find “Channel Scan” or “Auto Tune,” confirm the antenna input is selected, and let the scan run to completion. Full steps are on our Help page.
What happens during storms or outages?
High wind or lightning can temporarily affect translator equipment. We post known issues on our Facebook page and work to restore service as quickly as possible.
Who do I call when my TV signal goes out?
Call us at (702) 397-6888 or send us a message from the Contact page.
